feedback on megan gauges, and which gauges i need.

I've been looking at gauges, but they are all so expensive. I cant see myself spending so much money on gauges. I found the megan gauges which are cheap and all eletric (cept boost). I think I'm going to go for them, but first i want to know if its just a waste of money?

secondly, which gauges should i get?I want to get:
Boost
Oil Pressure
Oil Temp
H20 Temp

now bear with me, but i know i need boost, i have a stock working oil psi gauge so do i need an aftermarket one?, i dont know how important oil temp is on our cars so enlighten me please, and water temp is very important and something i'm always paranoid about but is the stock gauge sufficient?

lastly i plan on buying an EGT gauge down the road, once i get a manifold ported so i can tap it. so dont tell me i need it, i know its important.

Yes you absolutely need an oil pressure gauge. All stock gauges are useless, with the exception of Tach, Speedo, and possibly Voltmeter...
Boost, Oil Pressure, and Water Temp you should have aftermarket gauges to replace.

I agree, my stock oil reading is 40 when the pressure gauge on the accusump (Which I trust to be pretty accurate.) says 85lbs..... Now, there is 5 lbs of air in the sump, pushing on the piston, so the real pressure is not 85psi of oil pressure, but it's surely not 40.

I'm looking for a stock NA voltmeter, or just a set of NA gauges that will plug into the 88 harness. (And replace my heater controls with some from a 89+ while I'm at it.) I'll put the oil pressure gauge in with a few others, and I'd like them to be 45mm so they fit into a DIN plate. (Three more for sure under the radio.)

Oil pressure, air temp at the intake and air temp at the filter. (Compressed and ambiant.) If I don't do the NA gauge swap, I'll put a voltmeter in v/s the ambiant air temp. (And I can get a cheap ambiant temp gauge if I want one later.)

Thanks man, but i'm still deciding. The overal concensus is to save my money for something better.
