Feedback on Electric Fan

Has anyone use one of these on their MK3? I wonder how well they work. BTW, do I need to drill a hole for the temp sensor or is there a way to install the temp sensor without drilling?

Having an electric fan replacing the stocker to improve hp is a constantly on-going argument. personally i have an elc fan from summit with a perma-cool thermo switch.
if you plan on running just a switch to it,be sure to have it go through a relay,or you'll burn up the switch!!

use a 4 wire relay like they sell for the fog lights, they can handle 30 amps. they are ~$4. make sure you have a fuse on the power wire before the relay, and use a radiator fan switch from an 86 toyota celica. it should fit in the empty spot on the thermostate housing thats plugged with the allen head plug. then just wire it up. its a simple circuit. if you need it drawn up pm me and ill draw it in paint real fast and send it to you. id use dual fans, or one of those 16in 3300cfm zirgo's a few people have mentioned, seems to work well wit hthe stocjk fan shroud in place as long as you space it out from the rad a lil bit so it pulls air through the whole radiator.
