:1zhelp:
Ok...Before I get to that I’m kinda new here as this is my first Supra. My Supra is a 1989 all numbers matching, non-mod'ed N/A. The car is very clean and had been well taken care of... however it does have 145,xxx miles on it. I recently did the wheels, d&s rotors, brakes (although wish I would have known the Emergency brake set up before I did this) & calipers. Put new rubber on it and she was ready to go. Then I decided to upgrade the clutch and get a new flywheel (I was hoping that the lose wrist pin was actually a bad pilot bearing...but it wasn't so I’m looking for a N/A Motor now as well)... but here lies my problem..... I installed the clutch with a friend...we had some shutter that worked itself out (figured break in) but when I go to engage the clutch the thing sings like a birdie...so as well... I thought bad throwout Bearing ???? contacted GForce and they sent me a new one....thank you.... this time we made sure everything was torqued...lubed up and the tranny was so much easier this time I almost blew a nut when the tranny popped right into place...much easier then the first time....so we bolt everything back up....and that damn bird is still in there somewhere.... I will come right out and say that i did not reset the slave cylinder shaft or bleed the slave cylinder.... could this be the reason it feels like it engages well and the peddal has about 1 inch of peddal before engagement? the clutch performs as it should and when I’m running her she has no slippage in any gear...(my flywheel was shot and I was having allot of slip coming out of 4th around 95+mph :~p
any and all help is appreciated....as well....I’m still gonna need that motor - she's worth saving and I’ll keep my motor to build...and to be honest I’m not sure I’m going to whip her or not...but I think my direction will be a stroked heavy breather with a little drinking problem :~)
thanks for all the help in advance
