Has anyone elce had problems with this thing?? I installed it originally 2K miles ago on a flywheel in good condition. The clutch was VERY jumpy with alot of chatter and you basically had to ride it slighty to take off without stalling, spining the tires of starting off VERY ruff! Cold the clutch was marginal, once warm it got jumpyer and grabed harder. I just took it off for a motor overhaul and the clutch plate was scored and beond resurfacing according to the shop! It had no more then 2K miles on it!! I can say one good thing about it... it never sliped! lol I guess be carefull for what you wish for...

Using F1 CLUTCH with stock DISK = no chatter,no slip? very interesing approach!! (got that from another thread) I wounder how that setup would compair vs stock set and F1 set, prolly somewhere in the middle? See my problem is im gonna be running at least 400 at the motor so I need somethin that will hold

** same problems here they start to die quickly after 400 hp forget about drag racing with this clutch slip it once at the track and your screwed **

The problem is you HAVE to slip it to start out without stalling/spinning/jumping I give up with the thing! Try starting out with one on a hill!!!!

Whatever clutch I have in my car now is pretty goddamn bad too.

It starts out just fine, but gets harsher as it gets warm.

It shudders, grabs, squeals, engages at the highest possible pedal position, and is just generally unbearable. I can't wait until it breaks.

ya i took a chance on using the stock disc, I got pretty quick at pulling the tranny so i figured id try it..It made sense to me :dunno:., but i have been very happy with it so far, still no slipping or chatter what so ever...

or just get a sprung hub disc RPS type?

Yes, exactly the same, oh I forgot to add it squeals too!! lol

Okay here is my hypothesis guys!! I think our clutches/flywheels are undersized in overall diameter for higher HP mods and that is why the ones they make give us so many problems because your trying to make a tiny disk grab 400+ hp. I think if we had a 302 V8 diameter clutch/flywheel it wouldn’t have to be so ruff grabbing and it could hold the power, therefore we wouldn’t have this problem. So basically I just think the diameter is too small I mean damn, look at a 302 clutch that is MUCH larger diameter and they only need to hold 150 + 250 stock HP!!

any clutch that is a puck design is more likely to chatter and have harse engagment, thats just the sacrifice you make when going to that style clutch
