well i made a newbie mistake, i ordered my probe pistons before i tore apart my 7m...the pistons are .40 oversized but guess what so is my block lol...damnit this sucks!and i cant even hone it out cause i already have .005" piston to wall...i just gotta take one of the pistons at work to measure it and make sure it is oversized and not standard by mistake, but the motor was deffinatly torn apart before...

i dont even think its worth buying another block i dont know anyone local and shipping would be a bitch...

Um, my block has one sleeve in it. While at the machine shop a crack was found in one of the cylinders. We, my mechanic and I, decided to have it sleeved. It was going to be cheaper than finding another good block. It cost $80 bucks for that one cylinder. It'd be cheaper for you to find another block.

my dad's friend has an 89 supra that he has from one of his employees that nobody claimed when he got killed so he kept it...had it for 10 yrs now with no papers no way to keep it legal but i might see if i can get the motor from it...he lives 1 1/2 hrs away though so thats a problem...if i cant find a block for cheap i might just go 1jz it'll end up costing less than a fully built 7m with a ffim....

Dig around a bit. You might have to go up to Jersey. I know how Pittsburgh was in the 80's when these cars were new. There were a lot of diehard "buy American!" people in those parts back then.

If you could find a used block...no problem. Theyre not that much. Matter of fact I have one and im in Athens, Ohio (SE Ohio). I think its about three hours?
