you bought a tv for $1300 then spent $1100 on a part to try and repair???

Call me crazy but I'd say fuck that and get a new tv....

I haven't had tv in 4 years so I'd just recomend saying fuck it and spend that money on a hooker or something....much more fun than tv!

For 1300 you could have gotten a 38-45 inch 1080i LCD from westinghouse or LG. Flat, light, and great quality. Anything with the throwing-star logo is shit, you should know this.

bah! My Samsung 56" DLP was like 6 grand 5 years ago. You think $1300 is expensive?

Granted, it's not broken :)

Needed a new color wheel about a year back ($100 part, I replaced it myself), and it's still on its first bulb (has 7500 hours on it as of last week)

I have a spare bulb waiting in the closet, but I want to see how long this one will last. I also have an extra color wheel just in case.

Ya, Best Buy stopped carrying Mitsubishi TV's for a while and I think it was due to some quality control issues.

The old cabinet big screens were Mitsu's market. Now it's all about Samsung, Toshiba and Sony for the DLP's.

yea i have to agree with u on that. And I am an evo owner myself and the rest of the mitsu cars IMHO are crap. They would be much better if their drivetrains werent so horrible. They did get it right with the evo. I do like some of the ole school dsm's even the starion was a decent car in its day.
