The V-pro is a standalone, but in 99% of installations, it is still piggybacked into the stock ECU. They do this to let the stock ECU control boring things like ISCV, AC, CEL, etc. You CAN run them into the V-pro if you really want, but the outputs are better used for other things.slowsupratt said:Well the F-con Vpro is a standalone so you won't need an ECU, but the F-con S is a piggyback unit.,
