Well the F-con Vpro is a standalone so you won't need an ECU, but the F-con S is a piggyback unit.,
The V-pro is a standalone, but in 99% of installations, it is still piggybacked into the stock ECU. They do this to let the stock ECU control boring things like ISCV, AC, CEL, etc. You CAN run them into the V-pro if you really want, but the outputs are better used for other things.

Just for bragging purposes, I run a V-Pro 3.24 on my single 1JZ.

I'm in a similar situation. Building a 350z TT with fcon. Anyone recommended in the NW to tune it?
NW?

Hell

call RREvmotorsports. Ask for John Reed. Say figgie or Duane sent ya ;)

(503) 289-4020

RRev are tuners for HKS V-Pro, Motec, AEM, Pectel (very few of those!!) and a whole slew of other standalones :)

If in California

SP-Engineering. They are the folks that tuned Ken Henderson HKS V-Pro Supra.

If you don't have anyone around and want (or can flip the coin) to fly out some good tuners.

Justin Nenni from Tuning Concepts
Ben Phillips

and here is a pretty comprehensive list.
