Well tried the autolite plugs (3923) for my 7mgte. Sure enough, the damn thing misfired. I thought maybe i gapped them wrong, but my neighbor a mechanic checked them out 2 were slightly off so we got them all to .031. Still misfired. So, these damn plugs didn't work and i wasted an ass load of time, god im pissed lol. What is the plug the book recommends? Anybody know offhand. Thanks.

NGK BCPR6EP-N8 is what the TSRM recommends. I'm rather partial to NGK BCPR7ES.

I've tried the Autolites before, they worked great for about 4,000 miles. So I'm back to NGK.

Bishop, if you are partial to NGK BCPR7ES, there is a set on ebay that you might be able to pick up real cheap and there is 10 of them. I would, but i need to go straight by the book, no playing around :) Plus i need them now.

Straight by the book = stock = 232rwhp not enough for me :) The stock plugs are made to last a long time at the expense of a weaker spark.

im thinking you did something to foul out the plugs or hooked something up wrong...i myself and i know of tons others who run the autolite 3923 coppers and ave great success with them...the only probelm is like bishop said...you basically need to change them every oil change...but hell...for 7 bucks for 6 i dont care :D

The nice thing I liked about the 3923's is I could find them anywhere anytime. Even Walmart has them. The NGK's I like are never in stock in town.
