Explain the CPS to me in detail

hey everyone,

can anyone tell me in detail the pickups on the CPS (G1, G2, and NE). Is there a high speed and low speed pickup wheel, and if there is, how many teeth does each have, and which has the 2 pickups on it? Also, how many teeth are missing, and if there are any skip teeth or delay teeth?

EDIT: ok, by looking at this, it looks like there is 1 wheel with 3 sensors on it:

for MegaSquirt-Oriented people:
i would still like to know more about these individual pickups, and if i could use EDIS-6 ignition module with a wheel decoder, or if i need the stock ignitor and do something with it (hope that made sense)

That wasnt enough info on how it operates? To get the amount of teeth, I think you will need to count it physically. I know I sure as hell havent done that.

Do you know what a relucter wheel is? Or better yet, do you understand inductive magnetism. Becuase that is what the wheel is doing. Generating an A/C signal.

i know all about that, i know that there are 24 evenly spaced teeth. ne is crank position and g1 and g2 are cyl 1 and cyl 6 position
