I wanted to ask if i can eliminate all emission related components without affecting the cars performance and also how to go about doin it if theres something i have to do besides taking it all out such as maybe cappin somethin off ...also I was wonderin how much power i can make safely while using a stock composit headgasket.. i would really appreciate the help thanks

uhm, why would you want to rid of ALL the emissions components?

Asking how much power you can make safely from a stock headgasket is like asking someone to pick the number your thinking of from 1 to 1000000; there any many many factors most of which unseen. Most people can trhow 10PSI at a stocker and get away with it for awhile (will not last), some have stock boost and blow it to bits. Depends on the cars past mostly.

i would edit my previous post but there constantly is an error:

Tthrowing Stock cats you can gain some good power from but things like EGR are ultimately more beneficial. You can rid the charcoal can but then you have to setup a good, efficient, and SAFE system of venting the gas tank

my engine had no emmisions stuff on it. the egr was blocked off at both ends of the intake manifold. i had no charcol canister and my cat was gutted out, which i didn't know when i bought the car. car ran great though. never really had a problem with it.. egr wise

the ecu kinda needs the factory 02 sensor. just having a wideband on there will do nothing for the car. it's just for you to monitor to make sure you aren't gonna melt a piston.

if the engine runs great why would you start taking stuff off of it?

 @ JJ

EGR is needed as the ECU is tuned for it, and it doesn't hurt in any way that I've seen. Charcoal canister serves a purpose, if you're vain and want to remove the "ugly" canister, just relocate it with a smaller JDM one. The cat in the downpipe usually clogs and kills performance, getting rid of it won't hurt emmissions that much (I still pass fine with a stock main cat). Going to a high flow main cat will help as well, but only if you have the flow in the rest of the system.

A stock HG will hold a lot, but it's less durable and won't withstand detonation at all. Like most things, it's all in the tuning...
