expanding upper radiator hose and overheat

i just swap a 7mgte from a 90(manuel, T) to 91(auto, T). i wrecked the 90 manuel and the 91 auto had a bhg. instead of spending the money on redoing the hg. i swapped them. i had already replaced the hg on the 90 motor(about 10000 miles ago) but now that it is installed in the 91 body, the upper rad. hose swelled up right by the thermo housing. im going to do a compres. check on it later this week but was wondering if a bad thermostat, bad rad. cap or clogged radia. could cause this.

any helps appreciated.

I'm not sure what would be causing the problem quite honestly, but I would suggest that you try to place threads in the correct section.

Of course you are new, and this is your first thread so I can understna dwhy it may have come across you mind for this to go in this forum, but it belongs really in the 7m-gte section.

Good luck with the problem and believe me, it would be WISE to use the search button before asking about problems, it tends to be a pet peeve of a lot of people because questions become redundant. Quite possibly you might want to use that search buttons a few times before you ask.

Don't let this discourage you though, people here aren't mean, but once ur newbie status begins to wear off and you've been around a while, members tend to become less forgiving.

You'll find supramania is VERY resourceful and has awesome member that are quite knowledgeable and nice, for the most part.
