Hello everyone, I looked for threads on this but didn't find anything exactly the same as my situation so I would appreciate some insight. I did the 7/16'' exhaust stud helicoil upgrade on my head out of the car and I drilled one of my holes slightly crooked. I didn't notice until I was doing a dry fitting of the studs after loctiteing the helicoils in. The only problem one is the third from the left which is a lower one. At the end of the stud there is at the most 1/4 inch of deflection. I can put on the manifold and insert the stud and tighten the nut down but just barely cannot put on the manifold with the stud in. Will I be able to get away with inserting the stud afterward? Thanks very much to anyone whom can help me out.

i made the same mistake on the stud at the very back of the motor. i just grinded the stud hole on the manifold very slighty so that it would fit better using a dremil tool.

what i did was cut a slot in the stud and installed them with the manifold on using a flat screwdriver. Once you tighten the bolt up you should have no problems-mine has been on for over 1k miles with no problems (I think I had 2 or 3 studs that were crooked!)
