OK first let me say that I am new to supramania and would like to thank and congradulate all of you for the outstanding help and community you have created. PLease excuse my ignorance as I am also a new time owner of an MK3 supra and really don't know much about mods for this car other than the external bolt ons for any standard tunning. OK now for my question.

I have been a long time Motorcyclist and I know the Iron horse better than I do the automobile. So I was looking for an exhaust to install and before I go with my choice of the HKS superdragster system I want to know What would the effects be on the supra or any other performance car if I were to add a motorcycles performance exhaust to it?

I have four sets of exhaust cans that belonged to my old 01 GSXR 1000 and and 00 TL1000R. I have 2 yoshimura RS3 cans and 2 Yoshimura Trioval tsr's If I were too weld a Y connection to 2 of the cans and customize the lines for the cat back and turbo what would be the out put? or is this even a possibility? I know the specs from a car VS. a motorcycle are completely opposites but I have these cans that I know am not going to use anytime soon and this Idea poped into my head. Well jsut looking for oppinions and thoughts. thank you in advance.....

Seems like this would be really loud. The fart pipe lovers will be all over it.

edit: To clarify, I don't think it would sound like a fart pipe, it would just be loud.

those mufflers have somewhere in the neighborhood of 1 3/4" to 2" diameters.
Potentially could sound kick ass, but lacking big time in the performance department. I'de say do it, just to see what it sounds like, if you Sup is stock you prolly aren't hurting anything.

hmm, should work, provided you do a 3" to the y pipe with the 2 2" to the twin mufflers. it should also sound quite interesting, and look pretty cool.

Yeah- 2 pipes with a proper Y connection should giver you close to the overall exhaust diameter you're looking for.

Just make sure they have that big Inner Diameter. Do they even make an exhaust muffler for a motorcycle that big?

I got an 89 with grey interior, can't figure out if it's their dark or medium grey...

if I'm paying more for it to come in a color I don't want to have to paint it...

I just laughed for the last 5 minutes... wrong post... wrong board... are you ok?

In order to get the same cross sectional area as a 3 inch muffler...

If the muffler ID is 1 inch, you need 9 of them.

If it's 1.5 inches, you need 4.

If it's 2 inches, you need 3.

If it's 2.5 inches, you need 2.
