Exhaust( help needed)

i was wondering if i should buy this down-pipe from eBay and if it is really worth it or if any of u guys have used one...also what is the purpose of the bottom pipe being cut off half way..does it improve performance or just sound....i really need some feedback on this item from u guys..it would really help me decide to buy it:

When the smaller tube is redirected back into the exhaust its because it is quieter than having it left open. Alot of guys have said they changed back to the re routed style later because its too loud.
Also, for that pipe to be effective, it needs a small tab to protrude from the mounting flange. this tab separates the wastegate gas from the rest of the exhaust. To see what this tab is, look at the BIC downpipes where it mounts to the turbo.

The one on there is the one you want, the ebay one is useless because it does not have that tab as FullNelson said. Here is a picture of that tab .

^they summed it up for you. I have the BIC dp, and its what you want. That one you posted looked like a replica, without the tab.

I have a very early version of that downpipe, and it has the tab. Newer versions without the tab don't work at all and I've told the vendors on ebay that several times...

I have an ebay (chinese??) DDP and it does have a tab, but I believe it was welded on there by the person I bought it from.
