(elbow and downpipe is one piece)

- Catback Exhaust System 3" w/ Flanges and hardware, Mandrel

+50 dollars for stainless steel, 130 for ceramic coating for downpipe/elbow
and a high flow cat for 100 dollars, 20 for a new heat shield

all togather this is $825.00 and sum change (without shipping)
u think this is a good deal...........OR

u guys think i should get a good branded cat back(rsr maybe) hks downpipe(maybe) and get a lipp 3" elbow and a high flow cat all seperate? this comes around 800 - 900 $
what u guys think?--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

i did sum simple modding like K&N fliter(FIPK) Turbo Xs tpye S BOV (15 psi)
new vacuum hoses from hosse techniques, upper strut bar, and stainless steel upper and low radiator pipe oh yea i did the gasket as well (Metal) oh this is not my daily driver.... if u wanted to know just a project car

the things i will be doing this summer is replica spearco IC, all new ic piping, and csf radiator, and cooleeze intake pipe, clutch - put sum mt90 and new gasket and bushings

upgraded ct26 turbo 46 trim and exhaust mani, much later,
my stock turbo is in good condition,

i think im prolly going to do around 300 to 400 horse,
im just looking to replace all these old and restrictive parts making it a reliable car,

well, how about some information first. Is this your first mod? What other mods? What are you looking to do with the car? Drag? Street? Whats your power potential? How much? Whats your budget?

Thats just a start:biglaugh:

first off in va beach are they doing emmisons testing? (off topic in a way)

i would go with what you want the first go around, what are you looking to do?

if it was me i would go with the ddp that recirculates (less attraction)
high flow cat
rsr cat back

btw i love the sound of my rsr and the hks dp (i have) is restrictive as hell dont go there.

states like VA that require a vehicle saftey inspection i doubt would pass it since it sounds like an exhaust leak when at an idle

leave the cat in. If your going to replace it with an aftermarket 3" spend some money and get a decent one, or you will be replacing it the next time smog rolls around (aftermarket cats only have to last 20-25K or 2 years via EPA regs vs factory cats, which is 5 years/50k). This also somewhat accounts for the price difference between OE an aftermarket cats.

a properly running properly, a car with a single cat should pass no prob (i'm in CA, king of smog nazi's). besides, look at the fine for not running a cat and getting caught, that's a federal offense with a very big fine (assessed per cat missing).

If the 3 horsepower you would gain from going between test pipe and quality 3" cat (I use an RT) is that important, take the money from the EPA fine and buy a new turbo, or just crank up the boost 1psi and you'll gain more than 3hp...
