Is there a list or can someone tell me everything I need for a 1jz-gte swap for my 89? I want to make like a kind of checklist and get everything before I start if you know what I mean. And sorry if this is already a thread, I searched.
Thank You!!!

Everything is there...just maybe not all on one thread. First you will need to get a clip (the best way, comes w/ most of what you need).

Get a front halfcut (prefereably a Supra - otherwise, you need a 2JZ oil pan from a Supra)
Extend the harness (is there anywhere to just buy this, already done?!)
2JZ Power Steering pressure hose
2JZ Throttle Cable
If pre '89 = BIC's 1JZ mounts
If post '89 = drops right in, IIRC.

That's what I came up with, via search. You know, having this all in ONE THREAD would be nice *hint hint* ;)

you need the ..
tach its diffrent in the 1jz then the rest. closest one is turbo tach.
if it doesnt come with tranny 1jz bell housing to mate with r154 dont try mate it with a w56 it will break.
custom throttle cable custom pressure line for power steering
you will also want a U shaped ps line cooler (low pressure side) instead of a S shaped on so that the opening of it is both on the driver side or if you have an auto radiator you could use the cooler on the bottom of the radiator. go around the hydro fan you will need a 2jz water pump housing and a 2900+ cfm e fan set up. or an sc300 2jz fan shroud / clutch fan customize the shroud a bit.

and you dont have to extend the harness its 100+ wires then you splice 2 times so its 200 + splices screw that just use the 1jz body connectors and mate them to your 7m engine side connectors you splice maybe at most 15-30 wires then tops there. also if you use the jdm fuse box and the jdm EA2 connector you only have to splice 2 wires for your alternator.

and you dont have to extend the harness just use the factory 1jz supra wire boots and every thing when your engine is out route out your speedo cable hole so your boot fits in the hole with your wires then when you put the engine in notch the boot for your speedo cable to squeez in the boot. you can install your ecu factory location by going through the speedo hole and not have to extend the harness 2 feet saving you 1-2 days instalation.

you might want to do these upgrades when the engine is out
sc300 110 amp alternator isuzu timing belt 2jz water pump "Y" pipe maybe add your 7m oil pressure sender to the union bolt of the oil cooler by using a 10mm threaded 2jz union bolt (must shave a little off your cooler housing. you can even use all three oil systems and i have the schematic of the ok monitor ecu the little blue one that monitors your oil level in your pan to much to explain but if you pm me i would be happy to help.

Someone needs to make a sticky for everything invovled in each year of the swap. There was a webpage I saw with it but I can;t find it anymore, if anyone knows what I'm talkin about though post it.
