error code

I was wondering about a few codes i have
i have the code 52. The knock sensor i believe, does that effect performance? whats the best way to get it to go away

and a code 12. Not sure on that one and couldnt ind any info on it.

help is greatly appreiated.

rewire the knock sensors, do a search on here for that. The error codes can be found here:

Code 52 just kills your performance. I couldnt believe how much faster my car was and the better gas milage I got when I fixed mine.

Um the code is 12... so that is the 2nd one down? what exactly is that? and also, im sorry to ask, bt im new to imports entirely, how do i rewire the knock sensors...

No man. Im 100% serious. Sorry if it sounded sarcastic. It felt like a whole new car to me after i re-wired my knock sensors.

im gonna tackle the rewiring next weekend i think. gotta have a friend help me. you think ill need to remove my starter?

BTW, i have an 89 7m trbo

Not sure about removing the starter. I think if I remember correctly, on the 89+ cars you have to remove the starter. I didnt have to on my 86.5 though. Also, make sure you have a multimeter to check for continuity between the wire running to the knock sensor and the ground wire.. and I found it easiest to ground the coaxle cable under the dash.

i.e. Check your CPS connector and wires.

Check your cam sensor or distributor or starter circuit.
