ok i have a 91 supra so its set up for a 2jz swap but ive been looking at lexus a bit lately and well the sc-430 has caught my mind, but now im thinking about swappin the 3UZ-FE? just wandering what you guys think about it ive just started looking into the engine a bit more soo i dont have too much info about it yet. thanks guys

well it would be alot more custom work, and the 2jz should be more than enough and easier to get power out of. Not to mention a 3uz is fairly newer engine than 2jz and might cost you abit more.
If you plan on having manual transmission you will need custom bellhousing or adaptor plate.
iirc the 1uz is actually a stronger built engine than the 3uz and should be easier to source

I'm also thinking about a UZ swap into my 1988 Supra. From what I've read the newer 3UZ is somewhat more difficult to wire the electronics. Damn OBD2. Either one would be about the same mechanically. The 2J/1J would be a lot friendlier swap to do, but like you, I just want something different to stand out. and Rock is right, the 1UZ is much cheaper and more plentiful.
