Engine swap

I have a 88 Turbo Supra, and the engine recently locked up. Im looking at all the diferent options i have, what would it take to drop a 1jz or a 2jz in the supra.

seriously though enough cash for a 1jz or 2jz clip, lengthing the harness, using a 2jz throttle cable

sorry but ive never really known what you guys mean by clip? and would the 1jz just drop in and drive, i would search but for somereason when i search it come back with nothing everytime i even searched just supra by it self and nothing came back lol.

Thanks for the link, lots of info :). So basicly you just buy the front clip for about 2400 then you need to get a different throtle cable and stuff and your set?

what i didnt see is if the Stock tranny works with it.

Need to get an R154 with a 1jz belhousing, www.driftmotion.com has them

the stock throttle cable works, it's just too long. the stock 7m r154 will work if you have the 1jz bellhousing and flywheel.

Well... kinda. You really should just read thru the 1JZ/2JZ sections of the different forums, so that you can see what potential issues you could run into and how to prepare.

Get yourself educated and plan ahead... you won't B a newbe for long :biglaugh:
