my car had been throwing error codes with ofccourse the orange engine light on. After I installed my oil pressure gauge into the cluster, the light that stays orange now is the one that shows an outline of a car and has beams of light shown out of the headlights/tailights.
The engine light doesn't even come on any more even when I put the ignition in the "on" position. The only contacts that I left out of the gauge were the one that gave power to the old oil pressure gauge, and the bulb to that gauge. Could that broken circuit affect the engine light circuit?
I traced the lines on the motherboard back and didn't find that the two circuits connected at all..
I've attached a picture of what the back of the gauge cluster in the general oil pressure area looks like.
