engine harness difference between 89 and 92 ?

well i sold my old harness thinking that any thing past 89 would be the same i well i think i am wrong on this one. cause well shit don't clip in

i just need the plug ends so i can wire in my stand alone

ps i have a 92 supra

and now since the plugs are different any one know were i can find a manuel for a 92 turbo

abs and tems run on a different harness but things like PPS run in the engine harness

I have them! Do you need the do you need the engine harness side of the dash side? lmk

And I was under the same impression. I thought it was like ecu's 89+ are all the same harness. But from what I understand now, The 89 is the same as 87 and 88 the only difference would be the ecu on a 89 went to the grey clip ecu. While the 87 and 88 have the yellow. The 90-92 have the extra white plug and they switched the body clips around a little but kept the same grey clip ecu as the 89. I think

Yeah I almost did the same thing I was selling my 89 engine harness thinking I wouldn't need it because I'm doing a 1j swap from a 90 into a 89 thinking it would be a plug and play swap. Wrong! To my surprise they are different. Good thing us MKIII guys are cheap and kept low balling me.

FYI, what displays on the site there is far from what he actually has. Sending him an email with pictures of the connectors you need is the way to go.

I forgot to get them. I have a hacked up 89 and a hacked up 90 harness. I'll take pics this weekend.

Alot of good information on this very subject in my thread doing the exact same procedure (5-speed 89 harness re-pinned for my 92). Page 2-3 are best. Plenty of good pictures, and re-pinning info in that thread.

BTW........I got my clips from Dr Tweak. The cost for 5-6 clips was near $75 if I remember, but that's much better than buying a 92 harness, if you can ever find one.
