Engine coolant leak!

:cry:I have an engine coolant leak. I was told it is caused by rust in the water pump. Have you heard of this? Or could it be one of the hoses. I constantly have to fill the reservoir with coolant. Is there any way of plugging up the rust hole in the water pump. I also was told the radiator has to be flushed. Any way of doing this myself. I don't like taking my car to mechanics.

Can you see exactly were the leak is happening? Gonna have to get under the car and pinpoint the exact location...there a lot of places it can b leaking from

That hole in the water pump is a weep hole. It means the shaft seal is leaking, and it leaks out there to keep the water out of the bearings. In short, replace the pump.
