Well, today I had my valve covers off to check my valve clearences (trying to figure out some valvetrain noise...)

Anywho, I also decided today would be a good day to start cleaning up my engine bay. Earlier in the summer I swapped a gte into my 88 n/a supra. I started cleaning up the gte (had 4000 kilometers on it), but I never really got a chance to do some serious cleanup to my engine bay or the engine like I had hoped, since my N/A was on it's way out and the timing was right to put in the gte, I decided to go ahead with the swap.

Well, a few months later, several sets of tires, and a lot of fun, I'm going to do a full engine bay overhaul, and hopefully figure out my tap/knock before I store her for the winter... Here is where it was right after the swap.

Pretty messy... How it sits right now:

Not Much better.... But atleast the inside of the engine is clean!

You may not have noticed from the first picture, but I painted my valve covers again... This time a graphite metallic with black stripes... looks much better than straight black!

Compared to before:

Tomorrow I will be stripping everything off in order to clean/paint almost everything... I'm going to cover up the engine and clean the paint in the engine bay as best I can and wax it, and hopefully clean up a bunch of the vaccum lines, hoses and wiring!
