Problems in Video #1:
Uhm, at 4:00 that looks like some pretty terrible soldering. How about using a soldering iron that's not the size of an old-west pistol? Maybe not let the wire float around the air while you're trying to solder it? Any movement in the wire makes a bad solder joint...
4:40- "we prefer not to have things like fuel, oil, COOLANT coming into the cabin for the gauges"
Uh, since when do mechanical coolant temp gauges bring coolant into the cab? As far back as I can recall seeing them, that would be
never.
5:48- cutting and splicing/using worm clamps on the fuel FEED LINE for the FP gauge!? How about some nice properly assembled SS braided hose, with a proper screw-in fitting that won't blow off under boost (higher fuel pressure) and cause an engine fire!? What kind of fuel pressure regulators do Subaru's have? Rising rate? If so, my previous statement stands, if not, then disregard it.
6:44- WTF is up with that huge soldering iron again? That's certainly not good for doing a precise job!
Problems in video 3:
I wouldn't just throw parts at the car like that. How about a proper diagnosis, rather than just replacing everything that everyone tells you to until it fixes the problem?
LOL at the end of Video 4. The TURNinCONCEPTS ad was hilarious!
LOL at pretty much all of Video 5!
LOL
All in all, you guys are pretty funny. I guess I just don't like that shop that you let do your work. The things I pointed out were things that would be easy to address.
I do like the concept, and it's definitely entertaining. Find a new shop and you're golden.
