ive noticed lately...that there are ALOT of emo kids who have gotten into cars/drifting...which kinda bothers me. for example today, while i was playing initial D, these 2 emo kids came outta no where and decided to play...this one guy had his name on his card was "ATRYU", and i think to myself. FTW?! really though, wth are they so interested all of a sudden...

labels are for close minded people. those who label others, as well as those who label themselves.

They sound like "Scene" kids to me. Atreyu = hXc band

I used to be one. Girlpants, Bandannas and all that good stuff.

Scene kids just get mixed up with Emo kids alot. Ive had to argue with people about this on like 5 different forums but Id rather not here.

Either way, anyone can like cars.

i know, im not hating, just pondering. you dont really see "scenesters/emo" kids that are into cars...who knows, may cars are becoming a new "trend" like OMG!

where were you 5 years ago and even earlier? this is nothing new, your interest in autosports is not something new that no body knows about.

Alot of those kids sit around playing video games and such between crying. So it's no suprise they found NFS or Gran Turismo and got into cars. Many will have an interest but not quite be an enthusiast. Anyone can play a game and know their numbers, but chances of them driving a neon that they paid a shop put their exhaust and body kit on is much more likely than seeing them get in a self modified, fast car.
I like the band Atreyu, I used to listen to them like 4 years ago, and I am very far from scene/emo. I don't wear make-up or cut my wrists for attention. They are very far from EMO(tional) music IMO.

They're the ones that I think inspired my favorite smilie by the way they react when faced with any of the known 7M issues!:runaway:
Definetly my favorite smiley too. "Shit shit, what do I do now!?!?!"

A kid I know did it awhile ago and I suspected it was to get attention/sympathy from his girlfriend. I called him out on it away from anyone else and told him how wrong he was. He admitted it was only to see if she would pay attention. He has changed alot and is very ashamed at how pathetic that was.

No but there is a difference when you can laugh at someone for being or doing the things they JUST do because its the fad right now.
I'll be 90 still wearing baggy pants, a chain wallet and a white Tshirt from wally world, even if tight pants that look like space suits from a star trek movie are in style.
I dont laugh at them because of who they are, but because of how they act, they do it for attention and because its trendy right now. they will move onto the next thing soon enough.

Emo kids stop being Emo when they grow up and realize that they need to get a job. In fact, many people realize certain things about life after they get a real job. The ones that don't are the ones you see who are 22-30 years old with some sort of "alternative" hairdo, piercings and tattoos, working at your local coffee shop.
