Emergency Brake Light On

Lately my emergency brake light has been on constantly. I make sure that the e-brake is disabled and that my fluid is good. As far as I can tell, none of the brakes are having any trouble.

What else could this light be indicating? Or is it possible the sensor for the lever is broken? I've checked the TSRM and looked around in the forums and haven't found much on the subject.

The brake fluid sensor probably went bad or the wires came apart or loose.

Alright, so that light can be indicative of fluid level? That's good to know, I'll check the harness around the reservoir.

There is a button under the handle that switches off the light. Mine came loose and didn't make contact with the handle anymore, I adjusted it a bit and it worked just fine. I believe it was a 12mm but that was several years ago no so I'm not sure. You can test it by pushing the button with your finger and seeing if the light goes out.
