Eliminating components, remaining plugs?

So I've removed a few components from the engine, such as the EGR and cold start injector. How would I go about properly eliminating the old connectors for those applications? Cut off the plugs, and tape the ends and toss some black silicon on the ends and cover them up with the wire looms the rest of the wires that accompany them have?

Personally I'd depin the plugs put them in a baggie somewhere safe that you'll remember where then heatshrink the connectors and tape them into the loom.

This way if and when you need them it's easy to restore ;)

I'd also take note of which wires went where...just to make it easy to re-assemble.
