Ya crazy, huh? BUT it had to have been what it was. When i built my motor and implanted the engine and all that good stuff I eliminated the AC. Well i drove it a week and put 1000miles on it. The whole week it seem to run good out of boost... When I got in it and it boosted it either made no power or a little power or it would start making power then stop then start. Also i was hitting 13psi in third and no fuel cut which was weird. Some weird ass shit. So im rackin my brain goin WTF is wrong with my car? i check all the hoses cause maybe its boost leak. Also i find out it running SUPER rich cause on my way to Milan dragway on the highway I was messin around with my buddy whos got a Dodge Ram 3500 cummins with an edge kit so its a pretty quick full size truck. Well when i got on my car and went by him then got out of it completely he said gaint flames were shooting out my exhaust, i already knew it was back firing when it throttled down but not spitting flames. So its loading up on fuel and not making power. Well that day this past wednesday i make one pass down the track and part because i had a really shitty launch and my car made no power i ran a 16.9.... 16.9? i thought was rather rediculas cause the boost goes to 10psi and its a fresh built motor and i have some other extras posted in a previous thread. so today the day after i goto lowe's and buy pcv and a coupler and i get a tire valve from a buddy and im gonna make a boost leak tester. Im at the shop and i assemble the tester and to my unpleasant surprise the stuff was miss labled at lowe's and its to big. Well crap im pissed today is not goin well. Since its making no power and running rich it possibly could be a knock sensor pulling the timing, but they are new sensors and a fresh motor with no knock and full/clean oil. I thought about it and when i eliminated the AC i left the bracket and bolt/pulley setup on the front of the block and the pulley and adjustment bolt are just kinda wiggling around cause with no belt they arent tight. So i have this huntch and i pull the bracket off and remove the pulley/adjustment bolt setup and bolt back down the bracket. I go test the car this evening and it run like a completely different car. I pulls hard and make 10 fold more power and keeps it thru the whole rpm range. I also hit fuel cut in second and third so i had to adjust the boost down. Apparently the rattling pulley/bolt were sending vibrations into the block and the knock sensors were detecting it. So woo hoo this coming wednes day is the last day at milan for test and tune so im gonna run and hopefully gets lots better numbers. Plus I can launch the car a hell of alot better now. Sorry for the long post, i thought it was rather bizzar. I was worrying that my turbo was bad or something was seriously fucked and was getting really nervous.

Your A/C removal had nothing to do with your rich condition per se. The rattle set off the knock sensor. It isn't removing the A/C itself.
