:1zhelp: I cant figure it out...no spark from the coil on my NA/T. I checked the green four prong connector going in to the coil and igniter (it's an n/a coil and distributor) and there are four wires going in only one of which has power when ignition is turned on. Is that supposed to be like that? If anyone has any knowledge of the N/A coil, igniter and related electrics I'd sure like to here from you.

Nothing huh? C'mon one of your wiring geniuses has to know something, help me out! I am but a simple frozen caveman, thawed out in your modern era! I don't understand internal combustion or modern electronics. I think there is a small animal (possible a dinosor) under my hood that pushes my car...I am a caveman...I don't know, I'm easily frightened and confused by your modern world. Somtimes I'm stuck in traffic in my BMW talking on my cell phone and I think there are little evil spirits speakikng to me in my cellular talking device. I don't understand microwave transmission or micro-chip technology, I am but a simple caveman. Won't you help me adapt to your mordern confusing and frightening world?

first thing u shuld try is look at your rpm gauge and crank the engine if you see the needle moving or flickering that means you are geting spark and the problem is fuel, Next if the needle does not move at all ,with a test light and ignition key in the on possition check if the is power on the black with orange wire on the ignition coil, if there is not power there look for a blown fuse if you cant find one get a wire and run it to the +side of the coil and try to start it, if it works that means you have a blown fuse somewhere, Next you can also try this. run a wire from ground, now you need somebody else to help you, your assistant sits in the cockpit looking at your tach and u simply tap the IG- terminal {located right next to the check conector} with the bear tip of the wire the is grounded, a a rate of 2 to 3 times per second the needle should move and you should get a spark. if the rpm gauge moves but you dont get a spark at the coil it means you have a bad coil if you do get the spark at the coil this means you have a bad ignitor. hope this helps

Thannks buddy!!! I finally narrowed it down to a bad MAF. Seems it was shorted internally and telling the ecu not to send any spark. Fixed! I appreciate your help though and would be glad to return same if you're ever in need. Thanks again.
