So I was having trouble finding an AC adaptor for my NES. I went to gamestop, no dice, they said to have radioshack make one. Then I saw one on my desk, it fit into the back of the NES, only difference is that the OUTPUT voltage is higher than spec by 5V... I just tested it and, it works...? Is this bad? Or is it bad for voltage to be LOWER than spec. Thanks.

output should match the unit, it may work, its just for how long.. once you let the smoke out, its hard to get the smoke back in...

ive had great sucsess with the local good will. always a huge box of transformers.. and usually just 50 cents..

True... I'd hate to have the nintendo take a shit in the middle of a season of tecmo super bowl... looks like I'll just go to radioshack and see what they can do for me. Thanks.

i goto the local "good will store" or "st vincent depauls" thrift stores, there is always a box of transformers in the electrical section , maybe different in your town, but i doubt it..

Flea market? If that's the case I'll probably go. I'll give it a shot, thanks.
