ok well im going to get rid of the original fan and use and electric fan setup... what are the benefits of doing a single electric fan or to use a dual fan setup with a custom shroud. the cooling would be better but is it that much better using two fans than a single fan that is bigger... im not sure on which one to do but info would be appreciated

I went away with the stock fan set up. I was also debating on wether or not to do one single 16 inch fan or 2 10 inch fans. i though about it and looked at drag racers that use a 2 10inch fan set up. so that might be the more efficient way to go. I bought 2 10 inch electric fans that have a push/pull effect depending on where you mount the fans and it has somes sort of a shroud on it. i bought my 2 fans from auto zone for 45 bucks apeice...or you could go with spal fans...its pretty much just based on opinion

The main thing is CFM, most electrics can't hang with the stock fan. So plan on spending some $, don't buy cheap fans. most are made to be aux fans and not primary fans. My 16" Perma-Cool puts out 2950 cfm @ 10 amps. (amps is also important, I've seen duel fans that give a 4000 cfm rating but draw 50 amps, thats not good)

I have 3 electric fans sitting in my garage, (got them at the auto parts store) even though I spent about 80 bucks a piece for them, the cfm rating is retarded, something like 500 to 750 each, ( 2- 12", 1- 10"). So even if I were able to run all three of them, they would not match the single Perma-Cool fan

take into consideration that the fans will pretty much only be coming on in traffic, driving at speed will be more than enough to cool down the radiator. I have a single elc fan than does its job well enough for Cali's heat here in the valley. if you have the stock shroud, keep it installed for shits and giggles. iof your planning on using the stock rad.,get it flushed and make sure its working at its best

I'm running a total ghetto rigged dual 12" setup, but it works great. ive got dual 12" fans I took from my friends junked neon, hooked them to the radiator with electrical wire. Basicly i tied a knot in a piece of wire, put some washers on it, ran it through the radiator core, and tied it to the fan, did this in each of the 4 corners of each fan. Then I wired them straight to the battery through a switch (actualy used the stock switch for my foglights cuz i dont have foglights anymore) so I have to turn them on and off manualy, and if i foget to flip the switch when i turn my car off it would run down my battery, like i said, ghetto as all hell, but it works, and it was free. Did this cuz i was missing the shroud for stock fan, and one fan blade broke off when i pulled my motor
