I just hacked away at the bolts until I got it. It's extremely difficult and somewhat painful to get the one side of it. I just used an open ended wrench and felt my way around to the bolt. Both I believe I had to get from under the intake manifold reaching all the way around it.

...all i can remember for what you want is you'll need a couple of block off plates i believe

i know theres 2 block off plates 2 for the back of the lower I/M and one on the back of the upper part of the I/M and then you can start elminating lines by the j tube and cold start inj. i just dont knwo which ones and i cant fidn that TSRM thread

under neath the intake manifold theres 2 valves 1 by the egr and one by the front by the alternator, they look like vaccum sources with a plug that goes into each, can they be elimiated or noi took off the one and unpluged the one closest to the egr valve but the other seems complacated cause when i follow the BOV line, and the FPR line and an intake manifold line they all go back to this one valve with a plug that also goes into it, do i need that or is there a way to elminate that and the ugly hard vaccum tubes underneath the intake manifold. any pics would be good to

While the EGR is asteticly unpleasing, and yes I have removed it on my own car, but remember one thing, the EGR is not used on WOT, or other circumstances where power is being made. Also think of what the EGR does, it cools combustion temperatures by introducing inhert gas which in turn richen's the mixture slightly to allow it to run cooler... just a thought.

supra's run REALLY REALLY RICh stock. e.g. the term pig rich. and yes the egr "cools chamber temps." but do you really wanna burn "used" gas? the cleaner the air/fuel ratio in the chamber, the better the fire. the more power you make. the faster you go. the more mustangs you stomp into the ground.

by reducing the cylinder temperatures it is reducing the amount of Oxides of Nitrogen (NOx). and as stated in another post, it is not doing anything after a certain percentage of the throttle is pressed. no power increase will be made.

actually, removing it may decrease gas milage, and increase the chance of overheating/detonating.

Wow, from my own stomping grounds in Rockford IL, whats it like there now? I imagine finding any nut and or bolt isn't too hard and with Gates rubber you can get any belt you need quickly..
