EGR Cooler removed and the inside is soild black dust?? any ideas......

EGR cooler inside is coated with black dust, any reason for this, Idk much about the EGR cooler. thnks

PS, any good ideas of hot to get the super large banjo off the back right next to the EGR.

This is normal. It's soot from your exhaust gas.

Use a large socket and a really long breaker bar, coat it in penetrating oil first and let it sit for a day.

Sounds like the cooler is leaking. Have fun with that
