On the 7mgte.... blocking off the EGR does exactly what for ya? I completely removed my EGR system on my 3VZ. My check eng light is always on, but I have more room under the hood and don't have a dirty intake system anymore. but on these supras... whats the deal with blocking it off... anything I should know before hand? where is the best place to get the plates?

reduces exaust intrudeced into the intake. cylender temp might go up. if the check engine light is on i say look for the vsv's that tie into the egr and look for a vacume leak. did mine and never had a problem.
dosnt do anything other than clean up the engine bay. FWIW i passed emissions with very low NOX levels without the EGR.
the EGR only operates at cruise (and idle?) and is NOT in operation at WOT. have you guessed what this means?

i'm not interested in doing it for performance... mainly cleaning up the engine bay and keeping the intake manifold and stuff clean. kinda funny.. but on newer cars EGR's are no longer. EGR's seem to be thing of the 80's and 90's. I guess with today's ECU's and engine's they don't need egr's.
