A buddy of mine gave me his EGR block off plates but when I went to put the one on the side on it was just a bit too short.. by like 2-3mm. Is there a difference in size between a ge and gte? didn't think these was but couldn't find much online...

No, both take the same plates.
He may have given you one of the plates that block off the turbo drain back hole, or the turbo oil feed line from a GE block.

Yet again, no plate goes there. Your motor is obviously not JDM...
I have the small blocker plate for the back where the egr cooler.. which would eliminate the need to block the one on the side. Any advice on removing that egr cooler... pretty tight fit even with a small 12 open wrench.

My EGR has been long disposed and vacuum lines have been plugged. It's just 8 12 mm bolts to remove but I don't have little girl hands lol. Looks like I might have to take the throttle body and valve covers off.. must be another way.
