Hey guys.. I have tried searching the forums on the diff between the pre 89 ecu and the 89 + ecu's Is it something that is worth getting an upgrade on an 87T?
i seriously doubt it. one major difference is the integrated HAC sensor in the 89+ ecu. I run MAFT, so thats one plus for the pre89 ecu, considering you must splice the harness for the HAC sensor. blah, now I'm rambling, but no, not worth it.

hey im glad that some one brought this up cuz i dont know how to start a thread lol
hey from what i know there is a diffrents in the turbo-a ecu compared to ours right so can you use the turbo-a ecu in one of the normal 7m cars
and does anyone know any thing about where ican get my 7mgte ecu flashed i trying get all the info together some i know what im going to do in the future
, and what the hell is a EMS,VPC and haw to they work sos sos sos i dont know nothing lol
no, you can't just slap a turbo-a ecu in our cars. we operate off of a KV signal (karman vortex signal from the airflow meter) the turbo-a cars operate off of a MAP sensor. (manifold absolute pressure). our ECU would have no idea what to do with that signal...
the EMS is made by AEM. it's a standalone engine management system. it enables you to junk your stock ECU. VPC is a vein pressure converter, made by HKS. it allows you to remove your AFM, much like a map senosr.
