i was wondering if you could use a auto ecu for the r154 trans just picked up a 89 turbo with bad head gasket for 500 and am trying to swap out the auto trans just received my r154 trans what part do i need to complete this swap thanks for the help

Yes you can use the auto ecu with a 5speed but not the other way around.
You would also need, r154 fly wheel, r154 clutch, r154 pp,r154 pilot and throw out bearing + washers and clips, r154 salve cylinder, master cylinder, fluid lines, pedal assembly.
