Ebay Ultra Mounts

So i got these "ultra mounts" for my birthday... and i dont want to offend him if i dont use it.. but has anyone heard of these mounts?

Im scared..

I haven't heard of them, if your worried about quality,it seems it would be hard to mess up something like that. Possibly upgrade the fasteners?
With that said, I wouldn't want solid motor mounts of any kind.

Yeah, I like the luxo-barge feel of the car. I dont know how much power it takes to NEED something like this, but its gotta be a ton.

More proof that 240s suck. I've run solid mounts for years without any issues. Sure beats replacing the 89+ mounts every year or so because you've torn them in half. Admittedly, it does add some vibration, but nowhere near as much as, say, any DSM.

If you have the round mounts, just buy the 98 TT mounts off a MK4. And never change them again.

Don't those cost $250 for a set? My solid mounts cost me less than $50, and are good to over 650lbs of torque... unlike the Mk4 mounts. I'd rather buy the Corvette style mounts for that kind of coin... they don't separate if they do break, and are still vibration damped.

If I remember correctly, IJ advized against using solid mounts.
Something about inducing flex into the 'wet noodle 7M block'.

Thankfully I have a 2jz instead. : p

I grabbed a set of the square billet 86-89 style for $75 shipped. Ill let you know how they feel in a week or two once she's running. : p But I have Tein HA coilovers, so we will see how it is.... rode pretty well with my old shell, but I don't know if it'll make a difference with the new one and coilovers...
