The SSAC T70's are as good a turbo that you can buy new for $300

that said, with proper break-in procedures, they're not bad turbos.
Use them at your own discretion/expense/luck?

Some people have had good luck with them, some bad. It's all in the break in, and I really think that you should add an inline filter to the feed line as well.

For turbos that are good and inexpensive, check out Master Power turbos, and sell the XSPower/SSAC turbo for a couple hundred.

I'm with Kurt. I'll be running a Master Power T70 on my 2JZGE, it definately looks quality. Unlike others, I'll report back with details on it.

We are using a T70 locally. However, I had it rebuilt and balanced before using it. The builder said the balance was decent, but the bearings used in the turbo were no good and probably the cause of premature failures.

We sell the T70 completely rebuilt with warranty for $500.

SSAC uses Garret turbo's I believe in there kits. The problem with their kits isnt the turbo, but the manifold. A lot of guys on this Honda forum I post on have or are using SSAC turbo kits. No problems with the turbo itself but the manifold's tend to either start breaking at the welds or crack under higher boost (8psi+). Plus I hear that SSAC has some serious customer service problems. I lot of people that I've talked to that have had problems with said kits try to call the people at SSAC only to get the run around.

Also do not purchase your vacume hoses on ebay there cheap and there very poor quality.

Remeber to PREP the turbo or atleast on the first start up to hold the wheel on the cold side with your fingers for atleast 40 secs, then let go

WARNING: After it starts spinning dont touch the wheel.
