Drilled and slotted works if you get em from a Hi Po company.

Some people jsut grab blanks and drill holes in them with a drill press. Which isnt good or how its supposed to be done.

If you want real rotors like that go Brembo. 80+/-$ a shot.

You don't want your roors cracking do ya? ;)

I have never trusted brake parts from ebay cause most of the time its cheap blanks from china that are drilled on crappy machines and the slots are cut with crude machines.Im going for powerslots with endless pads.Because the way i look at it its braking im not going to skimp out on it cause its braking.

I thought powerslots were nothing but drilled and slotted post manufactured brembos. The only real way to avoid cracked rotors are to buy the ones that have them cast that way, or just go with solids.

I bought some drilled and slotted rotors off ebay for my ls400. They were $169 shipped for all 4. Works like a charm. Been using them for about 2 years now and no cracks or problems.

Any rotor will work, every rotor will crack. You just have to determine how much work you will be putting on the rotor. If you are road racing, you will want to buy the best you can get. If your just daily driver with the ocasional street race here and there, the ebay ones will work just fine.

But then if you believe the "you get what you pay for" then buy the most exspensive one, it will give you piece of mind...... :bigthumb:

Just my .25 cents

I bought mine from 88rotors about 6-8 months ago... no problems. I will probably be swapping up in the future though for a more aggressive compound.... maybe some brembo blanks and green stuff pads. For a minor stock upgrade, ya cant go wrong... they do the job. you get what you pay for, its a good deal though.

Powerslots are one of the worst rotors you can buy...

Most rotors are fine, even the no names. But you absolutely have to be sure to use a good pad. I cannot stress that enough. Often the cracking is caused from using poor pads. Porterfield RS-4s are the best pads you can get, as far as i know.

Btw what ever happened to hawk brake pads for our cars?

Wow.. alot to think about. Well I do not race really at all. I like that my car has a little more go then stock. I do not go to the track either. It is my daily driver and I am really a slow driver. I got my share of tickets when I was 19 and had a WS6 Trans-AM . If I do upgrade the car for more power I will spend some $$$ on a nice break combo, untill then I will get these and let everyone know how they are.

Thanks for all the info!!

there is no reason to have drilled rotors, other than looks. by buying cheapo drilled rotors, all you're doing is inviting cracking or other failure.

cheap pads suck. get something more aggressive. or if you want to cheap out, just hit up your local autoparts store and get a set w/lifetime warranty....

there are plenty of areas to cheap out on a car, the braking system is NOT one of them.

just my $11...

I got the iRotors Cross-Drilled & Slotted F/R Rotors and PBR ULT Ceramic F/R Brake Pads off Ebay.

So far so good, been using them for 6 months.... excellent braking as far as I'm concerned, and I have slammed on them a few times to test them out.
