ebay 7mgte rebuild kits

I am in need of a rebuild kit,( upper and lower gaskets, bottom-end bearings, piston rings, pistons and oil pump)
Im just wondering if the ebay 7mgte rebuild kits are any good and im wondering if i can machine my 7mgte head because its warped

Not really neccesary to machine if you're "not"going MHG. Ebay gaskets kits I think are probably average at best.

Don't need a bible on HG thicknesses, it's simple math :icon_razz.

Stock = 1.3mm

HG thickness to keep stock compression ratio= 1.3mm + thickness machined off block + thickness machined off head

Here's how mine worked out to be....

1.3mm (stock gasket) + 0.2mm (0.008" block machined) + 0.25mm (0.010" head machined) = 1.75m (round to 1.8mm)

I used a thinner 1.3mm MHG though to increase the compression ratio so it's running ~9.0:1. Figuring that out opens a whole new can of formulas ;)

Here's the calculator I think I used when I was figuring it out, but I may be wrong. It's been a while, and I know I had to search around for some of the values...
