All answers welcome:I'm not trying to be an ass,..But if you don't know, then please don't guess, electrical is very expensive.

Let's just say for an example: Example only, the "tail lamp" is 15 amps. Will this circut only hold 15 amps and no more?? I think I Can I tap into this circut and put an inline fuse to what ever accesories I'm gonna run is this true??

Project: I'm thinking about hooking up a piggy back and wide band. How do I know what size fuse I need for the piggy back, call the manufacture??
Why are there no accesory circuts?? I'm running out of circuts for accesories:1zhelp:

I'm continplating running the two hot wires from the piggy back and the wide band together,.....is that a bad idea??

Thanks!!...again.

I = V/R

Current (amps) = Voltage (11-13) / Resistance (measure device using multimeter)

I use power to the ECU which is a 15 amp fuse to power the ECU, a MAFT Pro, AEM UEGO Wideband, and Valentine 1 Radar Detector

Running the two hot circuits should not be a problem

Use something that is on when the car is on and shuts off when the ignition is off, I would not use the brake lights or similar.

Tom, that's exactly what I was gonna do, i was gonna tie the wide band and piggy back on the same circut, I just wanted feed back from the members here, just in case it was dumb idea.
You just tapped into the E.C.U. circut with the three accsories without a inline fuse??

B.T.W Hows the Valentine perform,... alright??

When tapping off an existing circuit, always go from the pre-fused side and include an inline fuse that meets the demands of your electronics, and to be technical, use wire that's the correct gauge for your needs. i.e. don't run a 10awg for the V1, but it seems like you've got that mostly under control.

I would use something like this if you're going to be using a bunch of extra accessories. It's just easier to work with:

If you want to make things look stock, get yourself a fuse box out of a wrecked car. One of the fuse panels is removable and can be inserted into the open spot in our fuse box with a little bit of work. (i have a picture showing this in my build thread in my signature)

glad to help,

the valentine is working nicely, it does have random alerts, but it is much easy to decide what is real and what is fake with arrows and power

It picks up radar for me up to about half a mile away, and I am happy with it, I don't have anything else to benchmark it with as it is my first radar detector

I mounted it right above the rearview mirror on the left side with the power wire going through the trim down to behind the glove box

It looks clean and if ever pulled over all I have to do is put the sunshade down to hide it

I'll take pics tommorow
