accidentally broke the plastic deal that turns the speedometer when i pulled the gauge cluster today. being that i have the bastard year can i use one from the 87-88? those are the only years i see at the local salvage yards. this is for an NA auto.

All long side speedo cable should be interchangeable, I just replaced my long side cable, It's the short side that is diffrent. So you should be fine but I would save a little more money and get a new one from the dealer, I did that and got it from Jeff Watson, the quality of a new part such as that is really unbeatable.
