Rice? No its Corn (E85)
Been researching the different types of lines available on summitracing.com and pegasus website as well.

There is carbon impregnated teflon which is black inside and the natural teflon which is white. then there is the corugated hose which can bend sharper.

Also learned that ethanol is conductive where gas is dielectric, what does that mean?
means that that corn fuel creates a static charge and pump gas doesnt.

Big deal right?
well in theroy this static charge can arc to the stainless housing which is grounded to tank and engine. this creates a pin hole. So a carbon impregnated liner is used to discharge the static build up before it arcs.

Im not completly sure if what i have read is 100% true but im sharing this information of what i have found.
Please correct me if any of this is wrong. im in the process of doing up my flexfuel setup right the first time.

Pure ethanol, like pure water, is a poor conductor of electricity. This is because there are nearly no electrolytes in the substance, besides the negligible number that form as a result of auto-ionization. Therefore, the charge cannot be carried through the ethanol. However, impurities may substantially increase the conductivity of an ethanol solution.

forged ends?!

It would be well over $500 just in line let alone the ends. I dont see how there are so many people on e85 with this inital cost

Still looking to confirm this brand is carbon lined ptfe but it uses crimp on ends

They have pretty much anything you would need. Tho it's a bit more expensive.

Iirc the earls 650 hose is e85 compatable. It's very nice. But I think crimp on fittings only. If there is a hose shop near you they could do the crimping for you. There is a few shops around me that can do it.
