the emanage is not even close to a standalone. It is just a piggyback and will not really do much more in terms of fuel management than an AFC...

It does have other options, but for the price I am not impressed.

From users of both , Emanage and a safc, the emanage is way better than the safc in terns of funtionality.

Ofcourse the stand alones are the best to go with..but the price is too high.

If you are just doing mild tuning with bigger injectors and some larger IC piping etc...than emanage is just fine.

damn Chris. Emanage combined with the profec e-01 are a hell of alot better then the apexi s-afc. Thats what I would use over the E/U. You can use the e-01 to tune it with instead of a laptop. It is infact a piggy back like stated but its almost near standalone. Only if it could get rid of the afm it would be great.

but it still just scales the afm signal is what I am saying. When you pull fuel it is going to add timing, so you still only get so much tuneability.

the ultimate is 10x the regular unit. It has in and out for all the injectors and ignitors. It has knock sensors and a few other good things.... much much more than just the AFM. Getting it to hookup to the 7m is another story and I'm having trouble getting much information about the little quirks involved. So I'll just have to wait and see I guess. and the laptop is going to be the best path (and cheaper if you know what your looking for and where to look for it) unless you've got the e-01 sitting around somewhere.

Yep, the eManage Ultimate is technically a piggyback, but it's almost as versatile as a standalone unit.
The eManage Ultimate is not compatible to the E-01 though, the communications protocol is completely different from that of the blue/gold EM.

Does Timing Control, revlimiter changing , and Afm removal actually work with our cars.Ive read all i could read on the blue, but im unsure of the ultimate.Does nebody see a problem with ultimate workin on a n/a ecu. I would love to squeeze this in my na-t budget. If the above features dont work on our car wouldnt that just make it regular emange that cost more.

Hmmm, what writeups are you referring to? Got any links?
I stopped looking into the EMUltimate about half a year ago, but I kinda doubt that GReddy did any changes in this respect.
The blue eManage communicated with a computer or with the E-01 by a standard RS232 serial link, the Ultimate however has a built-in USB interface. So unless the E-01 learned to talk USB in the last couple of months, it won't work with the Ultimate; apart from that, the structure of the maps changed quite a bit in the Ultimate from what I've read.
But of course there might be a newish firmware update for the E-01 that I don't know about.
