Ok... My neighbors set 2 old skool iMacs out for bulk trash day and I see them just sitting there on the curb. I couldnt let them just get throw into a garbage truck :1zhelp:

Scoop them up and get them inside to power them on and see whats up. I was expecting them not to start and Id just gut the cases cause I think they look cool.

Well, they both fired right up and fully intact. Sad part, they didnt even try to delete any data. I didnt wanna be nosey so I formatted and cleaned installed as soon as I saw they powered up.

The good; I saved their personal info from being stolen. I saved 2 computers from being sent to a dump with all their hazmat evil. I have 2 working iMacs to do what I please with. Dunno if Ill use them around the house or donate them to some kids in the family.

The bad; Im a dumpster diver(rather curb trash grabber) :sarcasm:

God, all I ever see is some couches and chairs... :3d_frown:

I'd be glad to find some working PC or notebook or what have you. Our PC needs some serious new hardware, lol.

Nice find. Honest of you to delete their data!

Im happy to have the computers, screw stealing data lol. I dont even know what was on it. I just saw a few files on the desktop and seen the 70% of the HD was used on one so obviously they didnt delete anything.

local hospital did some renovations a few years ago and got all new computers and shit, even though most of this shit was fine. so now, if I feel like having a lanparty, I've got a no-name 16 slot server that a local business built for them, got some other random computers, i dug a wheelchair outta the dumpster and sold it for a hundred bux (but not before goofing off with it, see the vid's i'll post at the bottom), three working CRT monitors (including a massive 23" monitor that weighs like 100lb and is prolly 3 feet deep; it took up the entire desk) and some other random shit.

My dad scored some rolling carts for the garage, like 5 paper shredders, a ping pong table, lawnmower, and a brand new pair of shoes from the school. lol

My best... a $20 bill in a sack of trash I went through at home looking for a receipt.

Someone on one of the transformers forums was taking his trash out in his apartment complex and found a box full of rare transformers in perfect condition in the dumpster...
