I'm about to get some new couplers and t-bolt clamps from hightempsilicone, but I'm wondering about clamp sizing.

I'm buying a 3" hump conected to connect IC piping to HKS 3K pipe. So I assumed I needed a 3" clamp, but the 2.75" clamp says its clamping range is 2.88" - 3.19." So can I just buy this one, or must I get the 3" one that has a range of 3.13" - 3.44" I'm asking mostly b/c they are out of the 3" clamps. I realize you have to account for the outer diameter of the hose, so I guess this is why? Will the 2.75 at its outter limit fit you think?

I was about to post something similar.
The HTS couplers I have are mega thick, and the old T-bolts I had wouldn't fit around them.

The general rule for ordering T-bolts was : Go .25" over, and they'll work.

diff companies rate the size differently, so its hard to tell. t-bolts have a very short range of clamping, so it has to be the right size. some list the min size, some list the max size, while others list the middle size.

generally speaking, get 1/4" bigger like was said, but pay attention to how they size them.

i have a link for cheap t-bolts if youd like, along w/ their clamp range.

thanks for that, but I guess I'm still a little confused as to whether I should get the 3" or 3.25".... as those in the link and HTS have the same clamp ranges
