?Which parents?
Why is there brail on drive up atm's? I mean its not that this really bothers me unless theyare expecting blind people to drive. But this question has racked my brain for somtime and i want an answer to it lol. Maybe its just cheaper to not use differant buttons on them and have the same for every one or maybe they don't know where the atm is going to be set up i don't know. Any help on this one or if you have a logical answer or just somthing to say let me know.

Drive-up ATM buttons are marked with braille because federal regulations require it. To be specific, section 4.34.4 of the ADA Accessibility Guidelines for Buildings and Facilities (Appendix to Part 1191, 36 CFR Chapter XI, issued pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990) says, "Instructions and all information for use [of an automated teller machine] shall be made accessible to and independently usable by persons with vision impairments." Drive-up ATMs, unlike the walk-up variety, don't need to be wheelchair accessible, but the rules make no exception regarding accessibility by the blind.

Cars do come in a 4-door variety as well.

It bothers me more that I have to pass a screen asking me what language I want to use in my English speaking country. Furthermore, Spanish is my first choice, even though it isn't first in alphabetical order. And, why do I not have a choice for German?

Cause we're sandwiched between Mexico (Spanish) and Canada (damn purist French Quebec), not Germany...

It's funny though, cause the word "Spanish" is in English, so if someone didn't speak a lick of English, they wouldn't know where Español is..Kind of the way most wouldn't know to choose Inglés for English...

It was posted earlier, but I was going to mention not everyone drives themselves, sometimes blind folk need to take a Taxi, and as for those wondering how do they know what to chose, they have little headphone jacks you plug into the machine and it tells you the options and stuff, I believe (never used it myself)...
