correct, the inputs are different and the shafts needed are different due to lengths. So you need a R154 front shaft to fit onto your existing or just up and replace it with a whole one.

I just need the first part of the drive shaft is that possible for you to sell me??

I just found out the hard way... Buy it as a complete assembly or you will throw it 'out of time' and cause vibrations and possibly cause damage to the driveshaft. I just bought a Shaftmasters aluminum one-piece. So far, I have not regretted dropping the extra $$$. Check my build thread and it should be in and posted by this weekend.

You can always have a local drivetrain shop balance it for you too.

Just go to a local driveshaft place and talk to them about making one for you. All you need is the splined end and the rear piece that bolts to the diff. Then you give them the measurement between the two and they make one for you. I can get one made here in Tampa for 200. That's the better way to go that way you don't have to worry about the two piece breaking on you and messing anything else up.
