Well as some of you know im new to the community. I bought a car is great shape with lots of mods but lacking a much needed tune and needs a few other things. I just realized it has a decent leak coming from the downpipe. Its easy access as its on the bend to go to the cat (which isnt there anymore :) ). But anyway, there is a weld there with raised metal where what appears to be a place for a sensor. It is plugged but the raised metal around the threads is leaking pretty good. Now, should i just bite the bullet and have it rewelded or take some $5 epoxy and seal it. It's a crack which is why i would consider the epoxy.

You could get it rewelded and it will be MUCH better. I did this with my blazer last year... Freakin Y pipe decided to add another outlet... Lil peice o metal and my friends welder and its been fine though 2 inspections.

I wouldnt trust epoxy there... Hell my BIC is already loosing the coating. (1 year old)

What year blazer do you have???

92 GMC Jimmy

My Y pipe that goes to the cat decided to add a divorced option. (I take it to the beach a lot and its labeled an 'eyesore' by my boss)

Its been good to me for 6 years but lately hasnt felt quite right in the steering dept. its gotten a bit 'boatish' where you correct a lot to go down the highway.
